As we prepare for the 2026–2027 Sioux City Camera Club competition season, we are looking for members willing to volunteer as Digital Judge Chairs and Print Judge Chairs.

Serving as a Judge Chair is a wonderful way to become more involved in the Club, learn more about the judging process, and help make our monthly competitions enjoyable and successful. It also gives you a front-row seat to some outstanding photography and an opportunity to help recognize the talent and creativity of your fellow members.

Easier—and More Rewarding—Than You May Think

If you have never served as a Judge Chair, we encourage you to give it a try. You may find that the experience is much easier and far more rewarding than you expected.

It can be enjoyable to work with the judges, watch the competition come together, and know that you played an important role in making the evening a success.

You do not need to be a photography expert or have previous experience. All you need is a willingness to help.

If you are interested but feel a little uncertain because you are unfamiliar with the responsibilities, please don’t let that stop you. The Board of Directors is more than willing to provide guidance, answer your questions, and help you throughout the process.

Our Competitions Depend on Our Members

Monthly competitions are an important and exciting part of the Sioux City Camera Club, but they can only succeed with the involvement of our members.

Whether you volunteer for a Digital competition, a Print competition, or both, your participation will be greatly appreciated. You are also welcome to volunteer for more than one competition.
